Prime Minister Pham made the point during a reception for AES Permanent Executive Vice President Juan Ignacio Rubiolo in Ha Noi on October 11.

The Government chief highly spoke of AES’s business performance and its constructive policy recommendations for Viet Nam, especially in green and clean energy in favor of Viet Nam’s efforts to neutralize carbon emissions by 2050.

The Government will continue to support the AES' projects to ensure their sustainable successes in Viet Nam, Pham said.

In reply, Rubiolo applauded the Prime Minister’s views on energy development in Viet Nam, especially the country's inclusive, sustainable, comprehensive and affordable approach to energy transition.

He said Viet Nam could lead the region in the energy transition process.

The AES will continue its long-term operations in Viet Nam to help the country fulfill its zero transmission goal by 2050, contributing to building an independent and self-reliant economy.

The AES was one of the world’s leading energy enterprises in the top 500 U.S. companies voted by Fortune Magazine. The company has experience in electricity production and distribution, and infrastructure in the gas industry. It has been operating in Viet Nam since 2010./.
