VGP – Konnect ASEAN, one of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community projects that is supported by the ASEAN – ROK Cooperation Fund (AKCF), officially made debut on July 13.

July 14, 2020 4:51 PM GMT+7

Konnect ASEAN aims to strengthen knowledge and culture of ASEAN as well as establish the characteristics of ASEAN.

The event, jointly organized by the ASEAN Fund, the AKCF and the ASEAN Secretariat, is within the framework of activities celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Establishment of ASEAN-ROK Dialogue Relations.

Konnect ASEAN attracts the participation of artists in the region to strengthen knowledge and culture of ASEAN as well as establish the characteristics of ASEAN.

The program also aims to realize the ASEAN Strategic Plan for Culture and Arts 2016-2025 and the ASEAN-Korea Plan of Action to Implement the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity (2016-2020).

Konnect ASEAN will last within three years. During the first year, activities will be organized through online teleconference due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ASEAN KO-mmuniti online teleconference will take place in late July and mid-August this year with the participation of artists from ASEAN nations and the RoK to share experiences in art composing during the coronavirus period.
