DPM receives ingoing Lao Ambassador

VGP - Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc on December 27 in Hà Nội received new Lao Ambassador to Việt Nam Somphone Sichaleune.

Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc said he believed that the Ambassador will well fulfill his tasks, contributing to the closer traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.

The Deputy PM affirmed that the Việt Nam-Laos special relations are priceless assets of the two nations. The bilateral ties have developed strongly and comprehensively, especially in education and training, transport, and forestry.

In the coming time, Deputy PM Nguyễn Xuân Phúc will lead a Vietnamese Government delegation to Laos to co-chair the 34th session of the Việt Nam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee.

The Ambassador expressed thanks for the Vietnamese Government and people who have helped Laos’ education and training. Thousands of Lao students are studying in universities and colleges in Việt Nam.
